Our First State Event of Reign XXVII, Investitures was held on March 22nd at the Blue Orchid Restaurant in Downtown New Haven. This was a great event with a few well-deserved awards and a lot of money being raised for our 4 beneficiaries! With family in from Buffalo, NYC, RI and special mentions from Florida, Long Beach CA and the Waterfall Empire, the Blue Orchid New Haven was overfilled with People AND Love!
As Monarchs we also give out court titles that do vary from one chapter to another and are primarily left to the discretion of the reigning’s monarchs. In addition to adding line members and elevating existing members, The Monarchs added a few Royal Suits of deserving individuals. Since this year’s Reign is about Infinite Diversity with Infinite Combinations, There are a “Bretheren of Bears”, a “Pack of Pups”, a “Lords of Leather” and a “Commedia dell’Arte”. Those deserving individuals have received recognition from the monarchs and you will see them out and about! Royal Titles include Imperial Crown Prince, Princess and Princep, Grand Duchess, Baron, Scions, Lieges and so on. Other appellations bestowed resemble offices or professions within a medieval or modern noble court rather than titles of nobility, such as “Court Jester” or “Chancellor of the Realm” and so forth. These titles may be as serious-sounding or as humorously campy as the monarchs wish.
