The Imperial Sovereign Court of All Connecticut has raised over $500,000 dollars in the 25 years that we have been operating. We strive to reach every part of the State of CT, with events from New Haven to Hartford, New London to Norwalk and all parts in between. We have 4 major state events that showcase who we are and what we do. Each Member works towards a title, which are traditionally based upon those used by European nobility (especially the British Peerage). Noble titles are ranked according to an order of precedence so that, for example, a member who has been created a duke takes precedence over a member who has been made countess. The main effect of this hierarchy involves the order that members are introduced during “protocol”, a ceremonial procedure endemic to the Imperial Court in which titles are read by the master of ceremonies as members approach the presiding monarchs. This bit of pageantry, which is typically reserved for Royal State Events, gives Imperial Court members an opportunity to display their titles and costumes to the assembled crowd.
Investitures
Our first event in the most frequent case, several weeks after coronation the new monarch or monarchs give out court titles at a fundraiser called Investitures. The titles given to members vary from one chapter to another and are primarily left to the discretion of the reigning monarch or monarchs. Typical titles awarded are Imperial Crown Prince, Grand Duchess, Marquess, Viscount, etc. Other appellations bestowed resemble offices or professions within a medieval or modern noble court rather than titles of nobility, such as “Court Jester” or “Chancellor of the Realm” and so forth. These titles may be as serious-sounding or as humorously campy as the monarchs wish. Titles are traditionally based upon those used by European nobility (especially the British Peerage) b
Imperial Crown Prince, Princess and Infante Ball
The next event is our ICP/I Ball. Hosted by the ICP’s (Imperial Crown Prince, Princess & Infante title), The ICP’s showcase their fundraising efforts in their “ICP Ball”, which is one of the larger fundraisers. The ICP’s are encouraged to help raise money and awareness for our community. While traditionally a black tie/protocol event, The ICP’s do get to choose their theme.
Monarchs Ball
The next event of the year is held typically towards the end of the year, the reigning monarch holds their “Monarchs Ball”, one of our larger celebrating their beneficiaries. This fabulous black tie/protocol event helps raise money and awareness for our community.
